Evaluation:

If requested, comprehensive assessments are utilized to determine discrete areas of need. Evaluations of sensory processing, foundations of motor control, self-help skills, academic foundational skills, and play behaviors are considered. An occupational therapy assessment is essential to understanding your child's strengths and challenges and is often helpful prior to starting treatment but not obligatory. If indicated, the evaluation may include standardized assessment and/or clinical observation (typically 2-3 sessions lasting 45-60 minutes each) as well as parent input gathered from an extensive intake form. A follow-up-parent meeting is billed at $225/hour (if necessary, teacher consultation and school visit can be included, billed separately at an hourly rate of $225/hour). My goal during the evaluation process is to establish a baseline of skills, provide recommendations for ongoing therapy (if needed), provide strategies and activities for home and school and support parent education.

Individualized Treatment Sessions:

Sessions are designed to meet the goals derived from the initial evaluation/screening, changing needs, and/or parental concerns. Typically, a child is seen one time per week for a 45-minute hour. The 15 remaining minutes of the hour are reserved for check-ins, note writing and planning. Sessions can include parent training in ongoing home programs that can be revised as needed.

Attendance:
Attendance Policy: Late arriving clients may be seen for the remaining portion of the treatment time. If a client is more than 15 minutes late, I cannot guarantee that he/she will be seen.

Parents will be charged in full for scheduled sessions unless canceled by email/telephone or in person at least 24 hours in advance. Please contact me on my direct line to ensure that I get your message. If your child is sick, please notify me by 8am otherwise you will be billed in entirety for the missed appointment.

Payment Policy:

Invoices will be generated and emailed at the end of each month, including all service charges (late fees) accumulated in that month. Please take note of the invoice due date as that is critical to the functioning of my practice. Each family is obligated to pay for treatment services directly at the time of billing and if desired, submit invoices to insurance companies on their own.

Payment is due within 10 days of the due date on your invoice. Bills not paid within that 10 day window will incur a 10% of total invoice amount late fee for each 7 days past due thereafter. Bills not paid within 90 days of the billing date may result in termination of treatment until the account is paid in full. This may lead to loss of preferred treatment time and/or placement on a waiting list if alternative treatment times are not available. Returned checks will incur a $25 fee.
